I need your help!

I am not very computer savvy, nor do I have photoshop so I was in way over my head when I decided I wanted to make our Christmas cards this year. After a couple of hours of banging my head into the wall I finally figured out how to "layer" in a word document-which I know is pretty rediculous- and I came up with a really cute design. I thought why not try printing one on our home computer. It was wishful thinking I guess because the color came out wrong and the picture looked really granular, plus I should know better that nothing is ever that easy:0)

So here is where you guys come in... Please help me figure out where to take these to have them printed. I really dont want a glossy photo card, I really want it to be on cardstock or something similar (including the picture). Office Depot maybe?? I am hoping that I can just give them a disc with the document saved on it and they can print it like that??? Fingers Crossed. Any help you girls can offer would be wonderful, and Thank you in advance:)

I wish I could offer some help but I've never had photo cards printed before. I would guess Office Depot or Kinkos could help. If not, maybe Shutterfly? Not sure if they allow you to upload your own design or not. Good luck! Hope you'll share the finished product when it's printed!

That's a tough one...I did something similar for my daughter's birthday invites...I ordered the cardstock from Papersource but I had to take to a local printing company so it would go through their print machines...Office Depot said they couldn't do it!!!! Good Luck!

I am struggling with the same problem. I designed our cards and went to Walgreens first. They printed out just fine but I wanted the cardstock look too. When I took them to Staples the ink did not print out correctly onto the cardstock. I'm not sure there is a correct way to do this. (Maybe I'll ask this question on my blog and maybe one of my followers can help us both). I will tell you, I've been using a scrapbook software for years that I love it(http://www.novadevelopment.com/software/scrapbook-factory-deluxe-129016?meta=software&cat=print-creativity-software&sub=desktop-publishing-software). You should put it on your Christmas list! I'll keep you posted on what I figure out. I've even been thinking about getting them printed out at Walgreens with a matte finish and sticking it to a pretty cardstock??? Who knows...
