That's right, after quite a hectic few months with some serious ups and downs, we are planning a mini vacay to Vegas. January 13th I am off to Sin City for some serious R&R-just kidding this is Vegas were talking about! I cannot wait to get out of DC, and its heinous traffic, for a few days and party with my hubs! I wish it was going to be warm, but 60 degrees with palm trees will be just fine (considering its 30 degrees today) with me!
I secretly want to give myself a "Vegas makeover". Remember Charlotte's 36th birthday in Atlantic City??? I loved her big hair and sparkly dresses!
Always looking for the opportunity to wear cute little cocktail dresses, I think this "Vegas vacay" might be the perfect excuse! So Where to begin? Since pearls, argyle and pumps are my usual staples, I need to spice it up a bit (without spending all the money I want to take with me to play slots!). Where to go?? This is where you guys come in. I am willing to put my all consuming "forever 21 anxiety" aside and fight through the racks if you think it is worth it. I don't have much time to order clothes, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, leave me a comment and tell me where to shop:)
Also, my doll of a blog friend Julie at Brown Eyed Belle left me the most adorable award I have seen yet! The Glamorous Blog Award! (Very fitting for Vegas don't you think??)

On to my comment...SO fun that you are heading to Vegas! I think a makeover sounds fabulous!! I always want to find new outfits and have fun things for trips...imagine a whole new hairdo or fun makeup! I say go for it!!
Vegas is not a place for rest, that’s for sure! But it is a place to go outside your comfort zone and have some fun. I would say Forever 21 is a good place for affordable stuff, especially things that you might only wear once or twice, but I wouldn’t make the whole outfit from F21. Maybe just a few pieces. Sometimes it can get to “young” looking if it is head to toe F21. Otherwise, H&M has some cute “going out” clothes too.

Oh you should so go to Charlotte Russe ...I know it sounds very 6th grade...I seriously dont think I had been in one since then but its one of my new favorite places to find cute things that you will only wear a few times! Its like forever 21 stuff but a little more classy (not so 80s) and way easier to find stuff! My hubs is wanting to take me to Vegas too--I cant wait to hear all about your trip! (WOW sorry for the long comment!)

BTW: make sure you go see a show if you can in Vegas.. they are so much fun!!! And they have a bakery called Bouchon (I ate at the one in Napa) and I swear it's the best pastries in the world...keep your camera out too! Celebs EVERYWHERE!!
I'm going to Charleston that weekend so we'll have to make sure we swap our mini-vacay pictures when we get back!! =)

Vegas is SO fun!! Seriously, you will have a blast :) Do you have a Nordstrom's Rack near you? If so, they have a pretty good dress selection that might be good and its way less expensive than regular Nordstroms. Also, Forever 21 might be good because you won't feel bad if you spill anything on it or if you can't get the heavy smoke stench out from those casinos! Good luck doll! :)
