After the most harrowing experience of my life last Friday (an emergency landing on our flight-We had no nose gear!) I have come to realize how important each and every second with my darling hubs, my wonderful family and friends truly is.
When we finally made it to Chicago (I still cannot believe I got back on a plane!) Hubs and I grabbed deep dish, downed a much needed cocktail and watched the sunset from the observation deck at the sears tower-the highest building in the world!
My doll of a childhood and lifelong BFF (and former Chi-town resi) Muffin and her peach of a Fiance, got in late Friday evening-and we had an incredible weekend-certainly one for the books!
A few pictures from an incredible journey- One which I am so incredibly thankful I was able to experience:)
Hubs & I before the Cubbies Game
Two girls, having wayyy to much fun:)
Hubs & I after dinner at Sable (ABSURD)
Whoopie pies and Milkshakes for dessert at Sable
The most amazing cupcakery I have been too-There are zillions in DC (including Georgetown cupcake-which is completely overrated!) Sugar Bliss Cakes:) The cupcakes were super fresh and had incredible flavors-I soo wish I lived closer
Hubs & I at Millenium Park
We had a table at the Violet Hour-which was insane, with the best Pimms Cup I have ever had, hands down. No Cameras allowed, but I snuck in a pick in the powder room-to prove we had been!
A Red Velvet Pancake at Bongo Room-This was following the Banana Bacon Flapjack! I could eat these everyday forever
Muffin and I :)
Staring down from atop the highest building in the world-awe inspiring after our crazy flight!
Woooaah Nelly!
I know its a tourist attraction-but we could resist, I still cant finish one piece!
My Camera Bunked out But we had the most amazing dinner at AVEC on Sunday Night!!
Hope Everyone out there is well!

Holy moly, I've missed you lady!! Thank you for sharing these pictures from your trip! The ones at the Sears Tower are insane!! I would be so freaked out! You look like a doll in every picture, my dear!! Please don't stay gone so long again :) Happy Wednesday! xoxo
It looks and sounds like you had a great time in Chicago! I can't believe you stepped out onto the glass. I don't know if I'd have the nerve to do that. Ek!
Girl, I have missed you!! Your trip looks amazing and you look darling as usual! I LOVE Chicago! And I double love Sugar Bliss cupcakes!! Oh my...did you try the strawberry? So glad the plan thing ended well! Welcome back to blogging. :)
I lived in Chicago for 8 years and Avec is hands down one of our favorite restaurants. Hope you didn't have to wait forever...it can be crazy at times! Violet Hour is also an amazing spot. so jealous of your weekend, can't wait to get back there to visit soon.

What a great trip! I have starred it in google reader to look at before my next trip to Chicago.
I've missed you! Looks like y'all had a great trip!
First off - your plane situation is SO scary. Secondly, I heart Chicago too! A bunch of my college friends live there so I am lucky enough to go there at least once a year. Giordano's is really almost TOO much cheese - if there is such a thing!
