Never a Dull Moment

What a holiday fun filled week/ weekend we had!

Thursday Mom and I took Ms Peanut to Richmond for her first Bizarre Bazaar! We scored tons of holiday goodies and had the most wonderful time shopping together :) Two of my favorite gifts courtesy of mom are these two adorable little Lori Mitchell Christmas figurines. My girlfriend collects her holiday characters and when we stumbled upon her Christmas collection, I knew I needed to start my own! They make me happy each day on our mantle

Friday we took Ms Peanut to meet Santa, my heart broke as she broke into total hysterics alone on his lap so this is what her picture turned out like....

Bahahahaha at least it will make for a good story , Santa even thanked us for joining in because he really hates to scare the little ones

We stayed for the nightly Christmas tree lighting, water show and indoor snowfall, ms peanut was completely amazed and watching her experience all of these amazing events for the first time brings me sheer joy( sometimes to tears) as a mother

On the way home hubs rolled through McDonalds for a cone when we discovered the holiday peppermint mcflurry O to the M to the G!!!! I am obsessed and must get another ASAP!

Saturday ms peanut and I ran a zillion errands including target to check out the Neiman Marcus launch which I will admit I was a bit disappointed in - it could have just been our target but they didn't even have everything out! They were wheeling some out as we were there , I thought it would have brought it much bigger fanfare but I was wrong the Tory Burch thermos and lunch box were cute but I just had zero use for either so I skipped it - still surprised with myself!

Saturday evening we caught a bit of the Christmas boat parade in old town but chilly temps and a baby girl who skipped her afternoon nap led to an early night home for pizza and red wine (while Ms Peanut did her best Snooki impersonation!!!):)

We made it to early mass on Sunday and I still get super excited for advent and it was special for ms peanut to see her very first advent wreath candle lit:) our parish had little blue books for the advent and Christmas season with little "6 min" devotions and stories of saints and feast days and in excited to read one to ms peanut daily, I'm hoping to raise her to be mindful of the importance of Christ in Christmas:)

Yesterday afternoon mom and I headed to a lovely JLW tea at congressional country club and it was so nice to spend some time sipping tea and champagne tea with my incredible mother:)

The Holiday business continues this week with cookie exchanges, lunch plans and hopefully a pictures with "Santa Paws" for the pup!!

Happy Monday!

Such a sweet darling. Yes, we have a few family pictures with Santa from those early years as well.
Now I'm craving that McFlurry! :-)

Great pic of your family with Santa! My daughters always cried but continued to want to visit Santa year after year. I was also disappointed with the NM for Target...wasn't interested in any of it.
